Manifesto collections are essential to the Canadian Architecture Forums on Education (CAFÉ). They reflect on the evolving role of architecture in society, education, and culture. Through a digital and physical interpretation, manifestos articulate the vision and values of architectural practice, shape architectural curriculum in Universities, foster dialogue and debate, and most importantly, influence policy and change. They provide cultural identity and context, encourage innovation and experimentation, and build community. These topics encapsulate four keywords brought forward in the initial research project. Those words are people, place, prosperity, and potential.

Manifestos serve as a knowledge mobilization and research method that builds on diverse pedagogies and reimagines the role of the architectural profession in a changing environment.

The following tabs present the past and current research initiatives undertaken by the Steering Committee initiated by Lisa Landrum and the present CAFÉ Task Force. These initiatives were the result of a joint collaboration by individuals from CASA-ACÉA and BAC-DAC, showcasing the collective effort and expertise involved.
